Artist Statement

The process of creating each painting is a stimulating endeavor that presents a unique set of challenges in terms of technique, expression, likeness, and color. My ultimate goal is to create artworks that stir up profound emotions in the viewer, triggering fond memories of a special place or evoking sheer delight at the sight of a striking palette of colors.

About

Teresa's artistic journey started from a young age, where she honed her skills in drawing and painting. With her B.A. in Fine Arts, she began a successful career in graphic designing, while simultaneously pursuing higher education to obtain a Masters Degree in Education. As a graphic designer, she created a diverse range of multimedia products. Currently, she is an active member of the Springfield Art Guild, Falls Church Arts, and the Pastel Society of Virginia, always seeking out innovative techniques to enhance her work. Her talents have been widely recognized, with numerous awards and sales from local art shows and competitions. Teresa's excellence in painting earned her a place among the 23 distinguished artists showcasing their artwork at the prestigious Loft Gallery in Occoquan, VA. Her exceptional paintings have been selected for jurying in various art shows, including the ValeArts Spring Show in Oakton, VA, the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, VA, The Liberty Arts Center in Fredericksburg, VA, The Ernst Gallery at Northern Virginia Community College, the Green Spring Gardens Fairfax County Park in Alexandria, VA, the Franconia Government Center in Springfield, VA, the Goodwin House in Alexandria, VA, and even in the online UART show.
